Workplace Coaching

Coaching has become ubiquitous in the workplace. Nearly 75% of all senior executives have personal coaches — because one to one personal coaching works. The key is to choose the right time and right coach for an executive’s needs. The right time is dictated by an upcoming challenge, a new role in the organization, or a fresh opportunity to achieve a breakthrough or something unique. The right coach is dependent on two key things. First, there has to be chemistry — a fit between the client and coach — a feeling of comfort and trust. Second, there has to be a clear match between the skills and expertise of the coach and the type of challenges faced by the client. When there is chemistry and a skill match there is the possibility of an excellent outcome. A phone call or in person meeting to start the process is a must to determine if these two factors exist. If they do, the process of coaching can begin with confidence. Dr. Pat offers:
